This one day, 3 hour workshop is designed with your story in mind. We’ll explore what a narrative is, ways to express your narrative, who your characters are, what the action and story arc are, how to keep track of the details, and you’ll learn how to write a comic script, connecting text with image. We’ll be writing, brainstorming, workshopping, sharing, and experimenting.
Our 2017 instructor was Kristine Evans and 2018 was Liz Yerby.

Miss Anthology’s mission is to support racially and economically diverse young comic artists who identify as female and/or LGBTQIA+ by teaching professional skills through hands-on workshops, and publishing their work online and in print. By introducing female and genderqueer artists and writers to the comics and the art industries before they graduate, they will gain a firm understanding and head start on their careers, as well as an established network of peers within this otherwise male-dominated field.
